Hey Dan I have a Ronald Searle documentary on DVD that I'm trying to put online but without success so far. I have converted it to an mpeg but imovie won't work with that format so I can't edit it!
YouTube won't accept that format either! Are Vimeo or Daily Motion any better? I've been opening the DVD files with VLC player & trying to export from there. Perhaps you have some advice?

Hey yeah I can probably help you out. So far Vimeo has cut the sound off my videos after "converting" them. I think I'm just going to author my own Quicktime files and host and embed them myself. It'll take a bit of work, but it will look and run better.
VLC Player is great, but can sometimes bite you in the but because of it's ability to play EVERYTHING, even incomplete files. It's amazing. But consequently you'll run into problems if you expect that from anything else.
Shoot me an e-mail, and I'll send you some resources.
